Our yard is in Poole, a short drive from Bournemouth town centre, so getting people and plant to your site is straightforward.
Between 2018 and 2024 we worked on the multi-phase remodel of Castlepoint Shopping Centre in Bournemouth, a project valued at £7 million. Our work there covered demolition, drainage, Section 278 highway works, brickwork, finishing and resurfacing.
Groundwork services in Bournemouth

Our clients range from national names to local developers. We’ve delivered work for Lidl, EG Group and the Ministry of Defence, worked with Kier and the Environment Agency on the Salisbury Riverside Project, and built new homes in Parkstone with Addis Homes.
On larger schemes we work as the groundworks subcontractor to the main contractor. On smaller developments we work directly for the developer or client.
Ground conditions in Bournemouth
Bournemouth’s ground can change from one street to the next. Much of the town sits on sands and gravels that drain freely but need careful support when you dig, while pockets of clay hold water and change how foundations and soakaways are designed. Older sites often hide old foundations, drains and services as well.
That’s why we start with a proper look at the site, the drawings and any ground investigation, so the method, temporary works and programme suit the ground you actually have.

Groundworks questions
What do groundwork contractors do?
Groundwork contractors prepare a site for building. That covers clearance, excavation, foundations, drainage, utilities and the hard surfaces around the building, such as roads, car parks and paths. It’s the first trade on site and sets up everything that follows.
Do you take on smaller groundwork jobs in Bournemouth?
We work on projects of different sizes, from multi-million-pound commercial schemes to a small number of new-build homes. Tell us about your site and we’ll let you know if we’re the right fit.
Can you work on live sites and next to busy roads?
Yes. Our Castlepoint work included highway works at the access points of a busy shopping centre. We plan phasing, traffic management and safe working areas around the people using a site.
